Kabocha Pumpkin Soup Lyonnaise Style

Jacques had never eaten pumpkin served with sugar, honey, or anything sweet before he came to America. In France, it is cooked and served like other squash as a savory side dish. Serving the soup inside the pumpkin takes a little effort and more time. Cutting off the lid and removing the seeds is the hardest part, but it makes for a beautiful presentation in the dining room.
