Dawn Thomas and Joe Girard, co-founders of Swich and Rouxbe Cooking School, are thriving on their new Pender Island, British Columbia farm. But before they can truly call the island “home”, they’ve got to renovate their rustic cabin. Dawn’s been hard at work—and in this episode of the Swich Founder YouTube series, she’s revealing before-and-after shots of the cabin makeover! With a few coats of paint, a cupboard redo, and many hours of elbow grease, the cabin’s transformation is absolutely incredible. But it’s not all work, no play for Joe and Dawn. Follow along as they take their rescue dogs (Leo and Rudi) on an early-morning tour of the breathtaking Gowlland Point on South Pender Island. While soaking up the beauty of the small B.C. island, Joe muses that life is most truly lived in its unscheduled moments. After all, beauty is everywhere—and every day presents an opportunity to seek it out.
